WHAT A GIRL WANTS!!!

I 've always loved Celine but since last year my love for this brand grew stronger. Their new designer and creative director ( Phoebe Philo ) is a genuis!!!! When I saw this few months ago, I thought to myself; mmmmm , someone should buy this for me on my birthday ( take notes, firends!)...I was looking on the internet for the price when i saw it on my ennemy  , Kanye West. He just gave me another reason to hate him!!!!

I want both the shirt , and the pants!!!!! do not worry , I will not wear them together , I can see those pants with a tank top and killer heels....Oh boi!!!!

PARING SUITS WITH SNEAKERS!! YES OR NO??

 When I was in high school, everytime I saw men on the subway pairing business suits with sneakers (all white basketball sneakers) , it was obvious to me that they were just avoiding the commute to work in uncortable dress shoes... Well the game has changed, these days stylish sneakers are paired with designers suits; and I LOVE IT. I appreciate a date in this look, I mean its polished, stylished, put-together, GROWN, but still approachable a and relaxed..... However you have to be very careful with this look...Your pants definately have to be slim-fit, as for the kicks, I've seen celebs like Kanye go for all whites low tops sneakers, I'm not a fan. I suggest dark colors , my favorites are black leather sneakers. This look may be hard to pull off for some, so I'll suggest you stay to what you know( hahahaha)...If you are fashionable and meticulous,( since the hem on the pants have to be perfect) then go for it . The  hem on the pants have to be great, again, slim-fit, so the bottom fall right on the sneakers...

Zoe Kravitz: Daughter of Lenny Kravitz and and Lisa Bonnet is someone to look out for!!! I'm a sucker for unique and distinct styles. Some of  Hollywood's youngs stars try too hard to be different, but this girl does it effortlessy.
Her outfits always have that " je ne sais quoi" vibe. Messy bad girl look, rocker chic, retro, boho-chic, whatever you wanna call it, it works for her. Here are some of my favorite pics of her

KELIS: This lady has changed her image so many times...Atrue trendsetter...I know she doesnt alkways get it right( who does??) but she always looks comfortable in what she's in, and thats all that matters...

MOVIES SUGGESTIONS????

I got to the movies one a week. Sometimes I go in not knowing what I wanna watch , so I'll ask the cashier for a suggestion...Last week I figured I can give my readears some movies' suggestion also...
Now let me start with Limitless starring Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, and Abbie Cornish. After watching this movie, I really didnt get the hype behind it. Don't get me wrong, it's a decently made movie. But I think people were just curious to see it because of the story . We all know of the unhelpful and misleading myth about us using  10% of our brain. Well, imagine you can take a pill that can instantly give you access to 100% of your brain capacity. Instantly, your IQ is multiplied. This pill cost $800, but you get it for free...Genieus Idea, right???! Only problem is, it was poorly adapted to the big screen. Or maybe, a different actor would have played it better??? I f anything after watching it, yoy will really fantasize about that pill...S****, I know , I did!!! Especially the part where dude could speak any languages....
My advice to you is to is to check it out opn DVD rather than wasting your money on theater tickets.

Now the movies I liked recently are, The lincoln Lawyer , the Unknown, and  Due date( now that was a funny movie!!!) ooh almost forgot , The Black Swan...and ooh True Grit

Now True Grit , was an interesting one. Because this was the first time I was really paying attention to the fashion. The movie`s costume designer( Mary Zophres) did not miss any detail. From the eye patch to the layering; I loved the little girl`s coat and the belt over it!!! I mean that, to me confirms that great trends always come back( the movie is a 1969 film), and belts over winter coats have been in vogue lately...

JAYZ'S DECODED

When I told my friend Debatista that she should buy Decoded for me her reply was " honey , what you need to do is go to the bookstore on your day off, sit down and read this book, because I won't buy it for you"...I thought ..mmmm HOW RUDE...but great idea.
So I'm standing in front of the bookshelves, going through the book, and there it was, a picturee of my favorite lady, Lauryn hill( I was like, real recognized real..:) ). Another reason,for me to have the book.
I'm a true Jay fan. I've always paid attention to his lyrics. The dude ability to play with words is crazy. For example recently he has been refering to BK in his lines, but the new BK he is talking about is not Brooklyn anymore, its Beyonce Knowles. Granted some of his lyrics had me believe he was a misogynist ( until he fell in love). Remember 99 Problems but a bitch ain't one?! Then he tried to mess with our head when he mentionned a police sniffer dog at one point in the same some...Get it?! bitch=dog?? Also ,in On To The Next One, he says," I'm not avirgin, I use my cojones", cojones is balls, nuts, in spanish. I can spend all day teaching you about Jay's complex wordplay, but I ain't got the time...lol..
I love the book, but the hype behind it leaves me perplex at times. We all know that corporate America loves rags to riches stories, and Jay Z delivered it. I mean dude is bluntly saying that looking back at some of the things he did when he was on the streets, he feels like he is getting away with murder... What message is this sending to kids? the real message should be you'll end up in jail ( if not dead) for selling drugs! Not, an ex drug dealer, who used everything he learned from the sstreet to become a millionaire!!!!
Besides the fact that his narration of his life on the streets, is sometimes romanticized, I'm just happy that more people will better  understand his rhymes....
